REPAIR YOU SMILE WITH DENTAL CROWNS

Teeth are some of the toughest parts of the body, designed to endure the pressure of chewing and maintaining your facial structure. However, despite their strength, teeth can still suffer from damage, decay, and other issues. A dental crown is a tooth-shaped cap that covers a damaged tooth to restore its size, shape, and strength. Crowns are a key solution in restorative dentistry, designed to help restore your smile’s function and appearance.

WHAT CAN CROWNS DO?

Porcelain dental crowns provide a non-invasive solution for repairing damaged teeth. They offer several benefits, including:

  • Long-lasting durability

  • Resistance to stains

  • Enhanced smile appearance

  • Personalized care for natural-looking results

  • Simple procedure with no recovery time

  • Alleviating pain from structural or enamel damage

IDEAL CANDIDATES

At Omnia Dental, our dentists will assess your suitability for a dental crown during a consultation. Some of the most common reasons a dental crown may be recommended include:

  • Large Fillings: Crowns are often needed for teeth with large fillings to provide additional stability and protection.

  • Root Canal Therapy: Teeth treated with root canals are often covered with crowns to reinforce their structure.

  • Cracked Tooth Syndrome: A crown can repair a fractured or cracked tooth, restoring both its function and appearance.

  • Aesthetic Goals: Dental crowns improve the appearance of damaged teeth, helping them blend naturally with the rest of your smile.

DENTAL CROWN RECOVERY, RESULTS, AND AFTERCARE

Recovery time after receiving a dental crown is minimal. However, you should avoid eating or drinking for about 30 to 45 minutes after your treatment. You may experience slight discomfort or swelling for a few hours, but this should subside quickly. For the next few days, it’s best to avoid chewing on the side of your mouth where the crown is placed.
